Dawn of the Dead 2004 (5/10)

Zack Snyder came seemingly out of nowhere with Dawn of the Dead 2004. The only real similarities between this and the original are the shopping mall, a strong black lead and of course…zombies.

It may lack much in the way of nuance but as an action packed, hugely enjoyable zombie film it ticks most of the boxes.
